Admin Team Expectations
Becoming part of the administrator team adds responsibility that affects everyone. Running a server alone isn't possible at this scale. We currently have the most active server on the planet.
Being an administrator and Mad's friend is separate. Friendship will not dictate decisions for Double Tap.
In order to remain an administrator, you must be consistently active in the community.
This means:
- YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE IN VOICE CHAT A LOT! Leaving Mad to answer all voice questions is the absolute reason staff is being added.
- You MUST start inviting people to join voice chat. It's the pinnacle of a growing community and keeps the community active.
- You must NOT get cliquey and start hiding in chat with other administrators because you became an administrator. THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS POSITION IS FOR. AGAIN, this leaves Mad to answer all questions alone! And this behavior will cause removal of your administrator powers!
- You must NOT leave chats because people join.
- Support tickets are your number one priority. Tickets should never be left open for an extended period of time.
- Welcoming new people to the Discord & in-game.
- Helping new people when needed and answering questions. This includes the chat in game, Discord, tickets, and in suggestions-questions-bug-reports.
- Helping host events when needed.
- Helping test things when needed.
- Using your own judgment when it comes to deleting posts, warning, muting, kicking, or banning someone.
If you're not active, you will be removed from the team so we can continue to add active staff.
Administrators are expected to act in a way that is in line with Double Tap values.
This includes:
- Being accepting of people of all races, genders, sexualities, and nationalities.
- Treating everyone equally.
- Not advertising other servers or Discords, and not inviting members to your own Discord because you became an administrator and want to be with only those people.
- Not using your administrator powers to benefit yourself while NOT helping in the server.
